My dear dear gets a very pleasant greeting at midnight, the beginning of a new day, every night. Er... every morning? It is the greeting of "Happy New Day". I mean, it sounds silly... Of course we have happy new year and Merry Christmas greetings, but... Happy New Day??? Who ever heard of Happy New Day? I mean, Happy New Month itself sounds absurd! For us, it is one that reminds us that an old day is passed and a new day dawns its light on the both of us... It reminds us that our love is renewed everyday and we are resolved to love each other more and more each day.
Well, anyway, in this new day now, my dar dar and I are each watching the World Cup 2006 Last 16 clash between England and Ecuador. England just netted a beautiful free kick by David Beckham... (He's my idol). Darling did come up with a concept... You see, David Beckham wears long sleeves for every match he plays... Anyway, darling's concept - Long sleeves = good freekick goals....
Anyway... My dar dar's favourite team Portugal is playing Holland later on at 3am... I cant stay up with her to watch... (So so sad!!!) But I'm sure her handsome, cute Luis Figo will make a mess of the Dutch defense... Score a goal and what will you know... High chance that England plays Portugal in the Quarter-Finals...
So, many things do happen with the start of a new day... One soccer team scores a goal, another 2 European teams play against each other, the clock changes from a 23:00 head to a 0:00 head... Most of all, the love of 2 sweethearts is once again renewed and strengthened...
